Lake Martin Songwriter’s Festival

Lake Martin Songwriter’s Festival

July 23rd – 26th, 2026 : 6PM

Each summer, the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival (LMSF) brings nationally recognized songwriters and rising artists together to celebrate the stories behind the music. From intimate songwriter rounds to unforgettable live performances, the festival has become one of Alabama’s premier music events, drawing music lovers from across the Southeast.

As part of the Lake Martin Centennial Celebration, the 2026 festival concludes with its biggest concert yet—a benefit performance featuring the Marcus King Band at The AMP on Lake Martin on Saturday, July 25.

A Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Marcus King is one of today’s most exciting live performers, blending Southern rock, blues, soul, country, and Americana into a sound that is unmistakably his own.

Opening the evening is Alabama native Charlie Argo, whose soulful blend of Southern rock, blues, and country has earned him a growing national following. Joining him is Jeffrey Steele, one of Nashville’s most celebrated songwriters. A member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and a seven-time Grammy nominee, Steele has written dozens of chart-topping hits for artists including Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffett, and Faith Hill. His songs include “What Hurts the Most,” “My Wish,” “The Cowboy in Me,” “Knee Deep,” and “Raise ‘Em Up.” Jeffrey Steele opens the concert at 6:00 PM.

More than just a concert, this is a celebration of 100 years of Lake Martin and the power of music to bring communities together. Proceeds from the event may benefit arts, cultural initiatives and other charities throughout our local community.

The Lake Martin Songwriters Festival runs Thursday, July 23, through Sunday, July 26, with performances at venues across the Lake Martin area before culminating in this unforgettable evening under the stars at The AMP.
